This one is less of a portfolio page and more so just a page because I care about animals. There's a lot of info in here about what's going on in the pet and animal world and a lot of information about rescue because I work in animal rescue!

Best Friends: Ending Puppy Mills

You've probably heard that a lot of animals are killed in shelters each year because there just isn't enough space. The biggest offender to feeding this crisis are large-scale facilities where animals are bred solely for profit with disregard for their health and welfare. These facilities, known more commonly as puppy mills, produce a much larger number of pets each year than shelter systems can accommodate, and prey - usually through placing animals in pet stores - on customers who are never told where their pets are coming from.

Beyond Rescue

If you live in the Bay Area and are looking to adopt a dog, I can advocate for Beyond Rescue, a foster-based rescue organization. They do adoption events in San Francisco (Stonestown Pet Food Express). I used to volunteer with them and they are very good people. Hit Learn More to be directed to their website!

Want me to watch your dog?

If you live in the Champaign-Urbana area and want me to watch your pet while you're away, I'd be happy to do so! I can't have any over (I live in a college dorm) but I'd be happy to make sure that your furry (or scaly, or feathered, or anything) friend is well-fed, safe, and happy.
